REFLECTION

Experience
-
Overall, I think this module is challenging and interesting to learn as I get to learn a lot about the basics of typography through the lectures and lessons while doing the tasks. After doing all the task in this module, I learned that doing research before starting to do a tasks is important because it helps us to better think of what to place in the design and how to better communicate for the subject of design. It always feels difficult only knowing what the task is about but after doing some research it can ease our mind and gives us a more clearer direction on how to further doing the task. The most difficult part for me is to create my own font at the final task, I think I'm still not good at designing the fonts but I hope I can still further improve my typography skills and learn more in the future.

Observations
-
A good typography plays an important role in design, the type of fonts that are used in a design are important about what you want to communicate. Although some font may look like it is very similar, but after deconstructing the font, I noticed that all the little nuances and little details is what makes a font or typeface different than one another. There is also optical illusion that makes the font looks symmetrical or more balance. I have also noticed that I've been paying more attention to the typography when looking at the logo and words of the shops when I am outside and noticed that there are literally typography everywhere, in books, magazines, shop logo, signboard, product packaging, etc.

Findings
-
I found that typography can be seen in everywhere and is very important in the graphic design field. Creating a work or working in a task may took a lot of time and more effort than you think even if it looks easy. There are also lots of rules in creating a work of typography, looking nice is not the most important thing in typography and the most important element is the legibility of the typography work.
