EXERCISE

Exercise 1
-
Quantify & Visualize Data

Quantify your chosen items and arrange the objects into a presentable layout or chart. Keep it simple and present is as clear as possible and as interesting as possible.

Aesthetic is key but so does information delivery.

Figure 3.1 Chosen data - Used stamp (Week 1, 14/1/2023)

I choose to use my stamp collection as my data in this exercise. I then sort them according to the category of the stamp and arranged them in terms of size, shape and the subject of the stamp. I presented them visually with the category named and amount listed.

Exercise 2
-
L.A.T.C.H
Location / Alphabet / Time / Category / Hierarchy

After our week 2 flip classroom about L.A.T.C.H, we are required to organize a group of information into a visual poster that combined and utilizes minimum 4 of the L.A.T.C.H principle.

I've chose to organize the information about dinosaurs, including the country as the location, different era as the timeline and category, also organize them in hierarchy.

REFLECTION

I learned the technique of conveying information when doing the infographic poster through the Flip classroom. However, I think I could have done better with the redesigning infographic and L.A.T.C.H exercise with applying those technique learned.

I've also realised that the aesthetic of the infographics are important but conveying information should be the priority in making the infographics poster or animation.
