Self-titled is an exploration project for the students to express their own individuality and reflect their personality into digital art self-expression. The main idea is to build up self-confidence and discover their interest. The term "cinemagraph" was coined in 2011, when photographer Jamie Beck and digital artist Kevin Burg used the technique to animate some of their photography and wanted a name other than "animated photo." Photographers were already exploring that way of showing photos with animation, but it was their body of work that attracted attention and got people doing their own cinemagraphs. Suddenly it was trendy to have animated GIFs again, although those modern examples were not based on clipart from the early days of the Web, but really photographs with an area showing minor and repeated
movement.
Requirements

Cinemagraph’s of Surrealistic imagery using mostly your own photographs edited and manipulated in Photoshop then animated. The images must have a visual or a conceptual theme.

Figure 3.1 Final Digital Poster "BLOOM"

I choose to use the digital poster #2 and enlarged the portrait of me to a bigger size. The poster is about the blooming flowers and fireworks. The moon there indicates its at night. The traffic light is at red, representing when capturing the exact moment when the fireworks bloom.

Animation & Executing

Figure 3.3 Execution in Adobe After Effects

Added in Black & White Effects to the video. Also included the footage of fireworks and sparkling water video taken by me in the end of the video. Other than that, I just used simple transform tools like opacity and position to adjust the animation. When the traffic light turns red, the heart shaped light lighten up the black and white dark world, the flowers turning from B&W to red colour and the fireworks start to bloom, the water on the bottom starts moving and sparkling.
